About the Role:

Lead a team of up to 7 nurses and receptionists to help mothers in the Austin and/or Lawndale neighborhoods of Chicago who are considering or pursuing abortion to reorient their lives toward God and toward their children by providing them with medical services, pregnancy and abortion education, and pregnancy decision consultations.

 

Responsibilities Include:

·       Monitor patient care to ensure that patients receive quality and consistent care according to Caring Network’s Core Values and SOPs for patient services

·       Oversee inventory and ordering of medical supplies, medical equipment maintenance, and medical waste disposal

·       Communicate with Clinical Services Director and/or Medical Director regarding current and changing policies, addressing any questions that may arise with Patient Team and patients  

·       Oversee communication with the applicable County Health Department and any other applicable third-party healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for patients

·       Build a referral network of agencies and businesses who interface with our target demographic

·       Perform nursing and sonography role as necessary

·       Maintain a safe and clean working environment for both staff and patients by adhering to the applicable Policies and Procedures   

·       Maintains a working knowledge of nursing methods, principles, and practices in relation to the prevention and treatment of diseases, safety and infection control, clinical systems, supplies and equipment 

·       Protects patients’ health information for confidentiality, authorized access for treatment, and data security 

·       Lead the clinic quality assurance process   

·       Attend staff and volunteer meetings/events as required 

·       Increase knowledge of management, obstetrical and gynecological care, and women’s health issues

·       Attend mandatory staff meetings

·       Perform additional duties as requested

 

Personnel Responsibilities: 

·       Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the patient team to facilitate a team atmosphere- setting clear guidelines for staff interactions with fellow staff members and with patients and their visitors as well as delegating administrative functions to patient team members. When needed, personnel issues will be addressed to promote a productive and supportive work environment.   

·       Act as liaison between senior staff and patient team

·       Interview and hire clinical staff

·       Facilitate orienting and training for new nurses, sonographers, and receptionists 

·       Organize and monitor monthly patient services shifts and staffing schedule 

·       Hold department meetings and training sessions as necessary 

·       Perform yearly reviews with patient team members, delegating reviews to supervisors when applicable  

·       Ensure that team members are equipped to communicate the organization’s mission and to actively identify and celebrate the Caring Network core values whenever they are demonstrated

·       Lead team in engagement with personal and team performance metrics, seeking growth through continuous improvement, reassessment, and celebration of victories 

·       Lead team in making prayer an important part of day-to-day clinic operations

Qualifications: 

·       Hold Illinois RN License and BLS Certification

·       A professing Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local church

·       Maintains a consistent life-affirming philosophy and would never refer or advise a woman to have an abortion 

·       Agree with and be willing to uphold the organization’s Statements of Faith and Principle and Core Values: Humility, Mutual Respect, Sacrificial Love, Optimism, Excellence, Integrity, Mission Focus, Perseverance

·       Enthusiasm for and commitment to the mission and strategy of the organization

·       Comfortable with leading, initiating, and participating in prayer with co-workers and patients

·       Ability to share the Gospel, the good news of salvation whenever the occasion arises

·       Proven management ability

 

Compensation: $70,000 to $95,000/year
