The Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring delivery confidence through evidence-based validation of technology solutions supporting the organization’s business operations. This role leads quality assurance strategy and execution by validating outcomes through a combination of manual and automated mechanisms, ensuring solutions are functional, reliable, secure, and ready for adoption. Operating in a player-coach model, this role partners closely with delivery teams and platform stakeholders to reduce risk, enable informed release decisions, and build organizational trust in delivered solutions. We serve those that serve the Lord with the integrity of our hearts and the skillfulness of our hands (Psalm 78:72)
What You'll Do
Own and execute the quality assurance and validation strategy to ensure delivered solutions meet defined functional and non-functional expectations prior to release.
Lead and develop QA validation staff, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement within a hands-on, player-coach model.
Define and validate business-critical and operational scenarios using multiple validation mechanisms, including manual testing, exploratory validation, and automated testing.
Ensure validation coverage includes non-functional requirements such as security, performance, reliability, and operational resilience.
Partner with Delivery and Platform Management teams to support platform-led walkthroughs, simulations, and other mechanisms that provide evidence of readiness.
Establish and maintain evidence-based confidence signals that inform go/no-go decisions, emphasizing outcomes and risk reduction rather than test activity volume.
Guide and mentor technically oriented QA team members, supporting the emergence of a technical lead within the team.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify delivery risks early and ensure appropriate validation and mitigation strategies are in place.
Continuously evolve quality assurance practices to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and alignment with modern delivery approaches.
What You'll Need
8+ years of experience in quality assurance, validation, delivery assurance, or related technology roles, with flexibility for manager-level consideration based on experience.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
Working knowledge of quality assurance best practices, including manual testing, test automation, and exploratory validation.
Ability to evaluate and interpret technical and business outcomes without being a deep technical specialist.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technically skilled team members.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
High learning velocity with the ability to quickly understand new domains and systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey risk and readiness clearly to stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on delivery outcomes.
