The Senior Talent Development Specialist plays a critical role in designing, delivering, and continuously improving learning and development experiences that build employee capability, leadership effectiveness, and organizational readiness. This role combines instructional design, facilitation, and program implementation, partnering closely with talent development leaders, HR Business Partners, and stakeholders to translate development needs into high‑quality learning solutions aligned with GuideStone’s mission and values.

What You'll Do:
 

Program Design & Delivery

  • Design, develop, and facilitate learning solutions across a variety of formats, including instructor-led training, digital sessions, and blended learning experiences.

  • Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, practical, and learner-centered development experiences.

  • Adapt and refine program content, materials, and session flow based on participant feedback, evaluation data, and business needs.
     

Program Execution & Facilitation Support

  • Design and implement   assigned learning programs, establishing content, preparing materials, session delivery, and participant engagement.

  • Partner with subject matter experts and facilitators to co-design content and ensure learning objectives are met.

  • Serve as a trusted facilitator and learning partner for employees and leaders.
     

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement

  • Design and administer evaluations, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to assess learning effectiveness.

  • Analyze learning data and insights to recommend improvements to content, delivery methods, and learning journeys.

  • Contribute to ongoing enhancements of enterprise learning programs and experiences.

  • Recommend program enhancements based on enterprise skills and competency needs.

Systems, Coordination & Collaboration

  • Support LMS functionality through course setup, reporting, and learner support.

  • Coordinate with Talent Development team members to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment across learning initiatives.

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders to understand development needs and support targeted solutions.

 

What You'll Need:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in talent development, learning design, facilitation, or related field.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or equivalent work experience.

  • Master’s degree preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating learning programs for adult learners.

  • Strong working knowledge of instructional design methods, learning technologies, and blended learning approaches.

  • Proven ability to translate development needs into engaging, practical, and effective learning solutions.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and learning initiatives with strong organization and attention to detail.

  • Proficient skills in MS Office and appropriate GuideStone system applications.

  • Must maintain complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
