Position Title: Young Adults & Adult Ministries Pastor
Commitment: 40 hours per week
Reports to: Community Life Team Lead (currently filled by the Lead Pastor)
Positions Reporting to: Young Adult Volunteer Team; Volunteer Director of Men’s;
Volunteer Director of Women’s; Select Internships
Others Relating to: Ministry Leadership Teams, Care & Connecting Pastor, Groups
Pastor and other staff as the opportunity allows.
Overview of the Position: The Young Adults & Adult Ministries Pastor at Fellowship Dallas will lead an integrated ministry to Young Adults, consisting primarily of
singles and couples in their early 20s to early 30s, with a focus on
young professionals. This pastor will provide directional and pastoral
leadership to Adult Ministries, including baptisms, men’s and
women’s ministries, marriage ministries, and discipleship training
experiences. This person will also participate in the Sermon Planning
Meeting. The ideal candidate will embody a deep commitment to spiritual
formation, relational discipleship, and the mission of Jesus in
everyday life
Requirement
The primary responsibilities of the Young Adults & Adult Ministries Pastor are to:
1. Young Adults: Provide Directional and Pastoral Leadership to Young Adults in alignment
with: (70%)
• Guide young adults to love God, love one another and live like Jesus through oneon-one relationships, Life Groups and “Thursday Night Gathering” (bi-monthly
gathering). In fulfillment of FD's Core Focus of "Love God, love one another and live
like Jesus."
• Align and integrate ministries for the sake of outreach and assimilation into the
church body. In fulfillment of FD's Vision (Values, 10-Yr Target, 3-Yr Picture, 1-Yr
goals and objectives).
2. Adult Ministries: Provide Directional and Pastoral Leadership to Adult Ministries, which
includes: (20%)
• Baptisms
• Men’s Ministries (Volunteer Director, Ministry Leadership Team)

3. Participate as a Member of the Community Life Team working alongside and in
conjunction with the Community Life Pastor, Care & Connecting Pastor, Lead Pastor
and Integrator & Operations Pastor. 7 %
4. Serve on FD’s Sermon Planning Team. 3 %
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Develop relationships with and coach leaders of Young Adults Life Groups and Ministry
Leaders.
2. Design and lead environments that help Young Adults love God, love one another, and
live like Jesus through intentional disciple-making relationships.
3. Recruit, develop and delegate leadership to equip people for works of ministry. This
includes forming a Young Adults Teaching Team to teach at “Thursday Night
Gatherings”.
4. Embrace, champion and advocate for FD’s Values (church and leadership), Core Focus
and Vision.
5. Develop strategies for an external approach to reach and engage our target.
6. Provide pastoral care for FD’s On-Call Team and assist in crisis or need.
7. Assist in creating a social media engagement strategy for our target.
8. Incorporate an internship plan to deploy interns within areas of responsibility.

9. Relational, engaging, energetic, genuine, emotionally intelligent, and self-aware.
10. This role requires a flexible schedule and a balance of pastoral, teaching, strategic,
leadership, and organizational gifts.
11. College degree and in pursuit of or completion of masters level biblical and pastoral
training.
12. 4+ years ministry experience in leading teams and discipling people.
