The Mission:Dignity Specialist supports the daily operational segments of the Mission:Dignity department, including but not limited to maintaining office supply inventory, fielding phone calls, facilitating materials requests, and other tasks. We serve those that serve the Lord with the integrity of our hearts and the skillfulness of our hands (Psalm 78:72)
What You'll Do
Assist staff with fulfilling requests related to the care of both donors and recipients.
Provide support for donor operations including constituent record maintenance, direct mail appeals, GuideStone Work Tracking, and new donor cultivation.
Facilitate mail operations including researching and updating returned mail addresses.
Facilitate emails received in the Mission:Dignity public folder and ensure they are forwarded to the appropriate team member for follow up.
Facilitate voicemails received in the phone folder and ensure they are assigned to the appropriate team member for follow up.
Assist in the facilitation of volunteer initiatives and programs.
Act as liaison with other departments as needed to keep them updated on guidelines, plan types or benefit changes to the Mission:Dignity program.
Work on special projects relating to promotion or execution of the Mission:Dignity ministry.
Maintain current working knowledge of Mission:Dignity program, services, policies and procedures.
Maintain effective inventories of Mission:Dignity materials and office supplies.
Handle complicated or sensitive issues with recipients and report any situations or special needs requests to Manager, Recipient Relations for assistance in addition to normal Mission:Dignity grants.
Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience preferred.
Highly proficient PC skills in MS Office and able to learn appropriate GuideStone system applications.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle high levels of stress in a rapidly changing environment.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
Understanding of Southern Baptist polity and organization.
Personal attributes should include creativity, organizational skills, enthusiasm, and self-motivation with a strong work ethic.
High-energy, result-driven team player.
Demonstrated ability to adapt efficiently to urgent sensitive assignments and to negotiate and reschedule projects when priorities overlap.
Maintains complete confidentiality regarding GuideStone business matters.
