About the role:

The Church Partnerships Director (Director, Church Partnerships) represents the ministry of Caring Network in building long-term partnerships with church leaders and denominations across Illinois. The primary focus of this role is building relationships with church leaders, sharing what God is doing through the ministry, and inviting churches into deep and meaningful partnerships to facilitate new and continued funding of Caring Network. This includes developing and implementing a state-wide church engagement strategy to build relationships and increase engagement with church leaders, churches and denominations to increase the number of engaged churches.  The Church Partnerships Director reports to the President. 

 The successful Partnerships Director will:

·       Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, church leaders, vendors, ministry partners, volunteers, and the general public.  

·       Maintain high-level knowledge of Caring Network’s organizational strategy.  Stay informed of progress and stories to communicate effectively.

·       Effectively communicate with a variety of audiences about abortion in Illinois and Caring Network’s mission, vision, values, and strategy to various audiences.  

·       Develop and implement a strategy with Christian churches across Illinois to educate and engage, and increase funding from churches involved with Caring Network.

·       Serve the church by developing long-term relationships with pastors and church leaders through personal interaction, connecting their interests with those of Caring Network and driving towards increased engagement.  

·       Develop and present church leaders with funding and partnership opportunities. 

·       Serve as the relationship manager to church partners, providing stewardship and impact reports as needed. 

·       Develop resources to help church leaders equip their church to be life-minded.

·       Arrange for church leaders to attend vision tours to gain first-hand experience of Caring Network’s work and deepen the partnership.  

·       Commit to regular prayer for church partners, potential church partners, staff, volunteers, and for those we serve. 

·       Develop the church partnership team as needed with volunteers and key regional staff.

·       Work with the Asst. Special Events Manager and Parrish Relationship Coordinator to engage more churches and parishes.

·       Working cross-departmentally, co-create and develop resources for church congregations to deepen their understanding of what scripture says about abortion, providing for those in need, and advocating for the most vulnerable.  

·       Develop and maintain technology to schedule and communicate with churches. In addition, use Virtuous database to track statistical information and church engagement records.  

Requirement

Candidate requirements:

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.   
  • Alignment with Caring Network’s Statement of Faith, Statements of Purpose, and Core Values.
  • Consistently present a professional image and effectively communicate the vision, mission and strategy of Caring Network.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; theological degree is preferred. 
  • Pastoral experience strongly preferred. 
  • Passion and calling to come alongside churches to grow their involvement in solving the abortion crisis in Illinois.
  • Experience as a church leader, pastor, or ministry role engaged in church relations.   
  • Experience developing strong relationships and partnerships with large churches.  
  • Demonstrated track record of revenue generation within Christian churches and communities.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in effective public speaking.  
  • Thrives under pressure and has a proven track record of meeting deadlines.   
  • Ability to work in a highly fluid environment and ability to respond to changing requests.   
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups of people.   
  • Able and willing to travel across the state of Illinois and the Midwest.
  • Flexibility to work periodic nights and weekends as required.  
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
